Title: Chicken and Apple Cheesebake - Ffr

12ozCooked chicken
4ozButter
4tb;toasted white breadcrumbs
1/2ptWhite sauce
4ozCheddar cheese; grated
5 Cox's Orange Pippins (apples
  Salt and black pepper

: Set oven to 400 F degrees or Mark 6. Butter a shallow ovenproof dish. Peel, core and slice 4 of the apples and fry them gently in the butter. Place the chicken in bottom of dish and put apple slices on top. Mix 3 ounces of cheese into the white sauce and pour over the apples. Season. Mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining 1 ounce cheese and sprinkle over the sauce. Cut the remaining apple into rings and toos (unpeeled) in the butter; arrange neatly on top of the dish.
